Balsamic Blue Burgers


  • 2 pounds ground steak
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp. steak seasoning
  • 1/2 cup O&CO. Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 cup blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 8 potato hamburger buns


  1. In a large bowl, mix ground steak, breadcrumbs, egg, steak seasoning and 2 T balsamic vinegar. 
  2. Split into 6 portions, place blue cheese in the middle of each, form into burgers with cheese in center and set aside. 
  3. Combine vinegar, sugar, and strawberries, let sit for 15 minutes. 
  4. Remove all but 2 tablespoons of strawberries from the vinegar mixture; reserve the vinegar and remaining strawberries.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium high heat, then cook the burgers for 5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  6. In a large skillet, add reserved vinegar mixture with remaining strawberries, boil for 10 minutes until reduced by half. 
  7. Grill the buns for 2 minutes then place the burgers in the buns, top with strawberries and balsamic reduction. 
  8. Serve immediately
