Because of the suitability of the terroir, many olive oil producers in the Tuscan region also bottle wine. Castello di Poppiano is one such place. At its apex, Poppiano is possibly the best olive oil in the world. Harvested late in the season from November to December, the olives are allowed to reach peak ripeness to produce a warm and aromatic olive oil.

Each year, O&CO. selects the best of the best from top olive oil producers around the world for its collection of Rameaux d'Or (Golden Bottles). Poppiano makes the list again this year, as the 2014 harvest was a true treasure, one of the most sublime olive oils ever produced on the estate.

  1. "from the Short Hills Boutique"

The Poppiano olive oil is amazing. When you first taste it it's smooth like a lighter olive oil, but after you swallow there is a peppery finish.
