
Take your burger game up a notch this summer with this modern take on a classic recipe.
Meatloaf Burgers with Carmelized Onions
- 2 large onions, peeled and sliced into rings
- 1 lb. meat loaf mix ( ground pork, beef and veal) or ground turkey
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup Oliviers&Co Ketchup
- 2 tbsp. freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. Oliviers&Co Salt from Camargue
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp Oliviers&Co EveryDay OliveOil
- 4 ciabatta rolls
Instructions:
Preheat grill to medium high. In a medium non stick fry pan, heat 3 tbsp Oliviers&Co EveryDay Olive Oil over medium heat. Saute onions until translucent, then golden brown. Add salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine meatloaf mix, parsley, panko, egg, salt, pepper and Oliviers&Co Ketchup. Mix well and form into 4 patties. Mix together 2 tbl. ketchup and 1 tbl. olive oil. Brush patties with ketchup mixture and grill to your desired doneness.
Toast buns if desired. Place burgers on bun and top with a pile of caramelized onions. Serve with French fries or homemade potato chips.
