
Crostini are an Italian appetizer consisting of small slices of grilled or toasted bread and toppings, sliced about 1/2 thick. These crostini are equally delicious made with Oliviers&Co any Extra Virgin Grands Crus Olive Oils and fresh vegetables.
Crostini with Fresh Vegetables
- 6 slices multi grain bread
- 1lb fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 2 spring onions
- 1/2 bunch basil
- 2 green bell peppers
- 2 TBSPS oregano
- 1 TBSP Oliviers&Co Salt from Camargue
- 1 TBSP ground pepper
- Oliviers&Co Grands Crus Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions:
Pre-heat the oven to 225 degrees. Slice the bread, sprinkle with oregano, salt, ground pepper and drizzle with olive oil. Let set about 1 hour in the oven.
Chop the onions, bell peppers, and mozzarella. Mix with washed and chopped basil leaves, salt, ground pepper and a little oregano.
Add chopped onion, bell peppers, and slices of mozzarella on each piece of bread. Place the crostini back in the oven for 5 minutes at 300 degrees.
Add a few basil leaves and a thin drizzle of olive oil before serving.
