
Sashimi is thinly sliced, raw food. It is one of the most famous dishes in the Japanese cuisine. Sake or Salmon is a fish that is popularly served as sashimi. Its bright orange flesh is tender, fatty & delicious. Other types of common sashimi are tuna, mackerel, yellowtail, squid, octopus, shrimp, scallop & calm.
Sashimi with Mint oil & Sweet Grapefruit Vinegar
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- Sockeye Salmon
- Pink Grapefruit Specialty Vinegar
- Mint Oil
- Salt & Herb Mix for Fish
- Fresh lime
- Salt & Pepper
- Wasabi
- Ground Ginger
Instructions:
Cut salmon into thin slices & place on a flat dish. Mix vinegar, mint oil, salt & pepper and allow to stand for a short time. Then drizzle mixture over Salmon. Squeeze fresh lime juice directly over Salmon to taste.
Depending on the type of sashimi, a little bit of wasabi or ground ginger may be added. To eat dab the wasabi or ginger directly onto the pieces of sashimi.
