Orange & Mandarin Salad

This citrus fruit salad will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  The simplicity of combining oranges and cinnamon will pique your curiousity.  The O&CO. Mandarin Oil nicely complements and binds the orange and cinnamon.  Delicious for breakfast or even dessert!

Orange & Mandarin Salad

Serves 4 



Combine the sugar, water, cinnamon stick and ground cinnamon in a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil. Simmer over low heat, stirring constantly, for 8 minutes until the syrup thickens.  Remove from heat and cool. 

Peel the oranges with a sharp knife, cutting through the white pith to expose the orange flesh.  Continue rotating and cutting down the sides of the orange until all the white pith is removed.  Next, cut the orange in segments by cutting between the membranes of the orange.  Set aside the segments in a bowl.

Drizzle with the Oliviers &Co. Olive & Mandarin Oil and gently stir to coat.  Add the syrup, including the cinnamon stick, and refrigerate. 

Serve chilled with the Oliviers &Co. Navettes biscuits.
